General Knowledge For all Participants
- Check in will begin at 5:00 AM and close at
6:15 AM. Please check in as early
as possible as the race will begin promptly at 6:30 AM.
- Drop bag service will only be available at Hidden Peak.
- Drop bags will be collected at check in on the
morning of the race at the registration table. Drop bags not retrieved during the race will
be returned to the finish line after 6:00 PM.
- No aid is allowed between aid stations. No stashing of gear will be allowed
anywhere on the course!! Please
utilize the drop bag service at Hidden
Peak.
- Cigarette smoking is not allowed anywhere on
the course due to high fire danger.
- The Snowbird Resort is located within the Salt Lake City
watershed. Therefore, runners MUST
use the portable toilets provided (no relieving oneself on the trail!)
- All runners MUST carry at least 1 water
bottle during the race. The race
director recommends each runner carry 2 water bottles.
- Runners having physical difficulties during
the race should identify themselves at the nearest aid station. Aid station volunteers will evaluate runners’ condition and
have the authority to pull runners from the course. Runner safety is a primary concern!
- The race is marked with pink ribbons, chalk lines
and paper plates. Course marshals are stationed at critical
areas on the trail. Pay attention!
- It is the runner’s responsibility to study
the course map prior to the race and to look for course markings during
the race. If you do not see a ribbon within 30’ after a junction,
you have gone the wrong way. Every effort will be made to place ribbons
and chalk markings just after junctions to ensure you are on the right
trail.
